Head coach of Egyptian Division 2 side Al Magd, Adham El-Selhedar died of heart attack during their game against Al Zarka earlier today.

After 90 minutes, no goal was scored. In second minutes added time, his team scored. He passed out while celebrating the goal.

Abdel Mawli Mhenni, the football director of Al-Majd Club of Alexandria, Adham Al-Selhadar, the coach of his team, revealed that he had suffered a sharp drop in blood circulation that led to his death.

He added that al-Selehdar’s body was immediately transferred to Amriya Hospital, where his brother arrived from Cairo to complete the procedures for receiving the body.

Abdel Mawli Mhenni said: “We lost a great coach with high morals. He was very happy with his team’s victory and prostrated to God thank you. Suddenly he felt strong pain and fell unconscious again.”

Abdel-Mawli Mhenni continued, “We came by the ambulance and the doctor told us that Al-Salehdar had passed away before the ambulance moved.”

He added, according to the seventh day newspaper: “The body arrived at Al-Amriya Hospital, and by examining it, it was found that he had suffered a sharp drop in blood circulation, and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation, and Adham Al-Salehdar’s brother arrived from Cairo to receive his brother’s body.”

The Ismaili Board of Directors, headed by Eng. Yahya El-Komy, mourned with sincere sadness and sorrow the death of Adham El-Selehdar, a star and former coach of the team, who passed away after following his team’s match, “Al-Majd” Alexandria, in the second division league competitions.

Against this background, the Ismaili Council declared 3 days of mourning for the soul of the late. And the Ismaili Club, as it mourns its late deceased, who is one of the stars of the team who won the title of the League of 90 and the Egyptian Cup of 97, praying to the Almighty to bless the deceased with his mercy and inspire his family patience and solace.

Adham El Solhdar, the former Ismaili star, and the technical director of the Alexandrian Al-Majd team, active in the second division league, died of a sudden heart attack, on the field, after he was happy with his team’s goal in the last moments of the match today, Thursday.

Al-Majd Al-Sakandari team defeated Al-Zarqa with a goal without a response, which came through Mohamed Essam in the last minute of the match.

During the celebration of the players and the technical staff of Al-Majd, Adham Al-Selidar fell unconscious and was transferred to a nearby hospital, but he breathed his last.
